Our readers’ and writers’ contributions to this site are a major reason why Gang Green Nation is the best Jets blog in the history of Jets blogs. No contribution, big or small, should go unnoticed. That’s why we’ll highlight some of the best comments and FanPosts on a weekly basis.

Without further ado, I bring to you, Gang Green Nation’s Highlight Reel for the past week:

Top Comments:

On the Jets negotiations with Quinnen Williams:

Odds are this had nothing to do with Quinnen

This is the first contract with the new F.O. in place, they want to set a tone for future negotiations.

On finding the right balance of off-season reps for Le’Veon Bell:

With his running style the OL might need more time than him

Gotta hold those blocks as he patiently picks his hole….he has a very unique talent in that regard. But is something they can work on in camp. Use PS for routes out of the back field and maybe a few hits. But a pro like Leveon doesn’t need a ton of drills or to prove himself as a runner

-John Galvin

On if it will be easier to beat the Browns or Patriots:

I’m starting to wonder if we have a better shot at beating the Patriots then we do at beating the Browns. I’m gonna go take a drug test.

-Red G Green

On Sam Darnold wearing the same jersey as the rest of the team in training camp:

Jets offensive line is so good there’s no need for the red jersey

-jbigs07

On the difference between Darnold vs Rosen:

I still think he stands a chance of being a starter, but my take on

him vs Sam was Rosen is proficient at things you can teach, and has none of the things you can’t teach, Sam is great at a lot of things you can’t teach.

On Bell’s and Montgomery’s performance in training camp:

Bell and Montgomery start practice by dominating in the pass game... Again

I know our LBers aren’t the best in coverage, but I think having two of the best receiving backs in football might be an issue for other teams.

-newman104

On Trumaine Johnson saying it’s “news to him” that the CB’s are viewed as a weak point for the Jets:

I guess Tru is a few steps behind off the field as well.

On the potential of the passing game:

If the WR’s stay healthy and the Oline plays average, the passing game is going to be much better than everyone expects.

Anderson, Enunwa, Crowder, Herndon (when he comes back), and Bell with Sam going into year 2 and Gase designing master-mind plays. Some people on here think this will be a liability? Pshhhhh. That’s a solid group right there. If anything the run game might spudder. I’m hoping the additions of Bell and Kelechi Osemele will help there too.
