Free agent wide receiver Dontrelle Inman is visiting the Jets on Wednesday.
Former #Patriots WR Dontrelle Inman is currently on a free-agent visit with the #Jets, source said. He was with the #Lions yesterday, but they signed WR Jordan Lasley this morning.

Inman’s stay with the Patriots was brief. He signed in May but requested and was granted his release a few days ago.
He is a 29 year old journeyman. He has been part of five NFL organizations and spent a stint in the Canadian Football League. Inman spent 2018 with the Colts where he had 28 catches for 304 yards and 3 touchdowns.
I would be a bit surprised if the Jets signed him, and I would be even more surprised if he made the 53 man roster after being signed. There aren’t many roster spots available at the wide receiver position for the Jets. Robby Anderson, Quincy Enunwa, and Jamison Crowder are starters. Josh Bellamy’s contract probably makes him a lock. Greg Dortch is making a strong push for a spot as a special teamer. Deontay Burnett put together a strong training camp. Inman is a veteran who has only gone over 500 yards once and did not see a single special teams snap a year ago.
There isn’t any harm in working him out, though.
