Joe Douglas has made his first significant addition as Jets general manager. The Jets had made a few moves since Douglas took his post, but they were minor, back of the roster type additions.
On Thursday the team announced the signing of center Ryan Kalil. Kalil had only played with the Carolina Panthers prior to this point. The signing seemingly came out of nowhere, but it apparently was something weeks in the making.
On today’s podcast we talk about the addition of Kalil and what it means for the Jets. While the center is no longer among the elite in the league, he should provide his new team with a major upgrade at an important position. This was a spot the Jets neglected in free agency and the Draft so it is a very positive development to see it addressed at this point.
Thanks as always for tuning in to the show.
