Good morning, Jet fans! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. There’s been a lot of discussion between fans and journalists alike regarding the rough practice held by the Jets yesterday, but I’m here to tell you all that worrying is for nothing. Football has always been a game of two sides. Regardless of whether you’re on the same team or not, the offense and the defense are always against each other, either in regular games or practice. If you’ve ever played football at any level, you will remember being told by coaches to give it all you have every snap. This is equally true in the NFL. Early in the season specifically, players will want to catch the attention of coaches, and tempers will flare because each player is doing everything they can to be the best. You can’t go “half speed” in practice (for injury and production reasons), and a bad practice from anyone who isn’t getting paid like a star will very likely lose their appeal to the coaching staff. Just because these guys are on the same team does not mean they are friends, in the same way that the average person who works at a company isn’t friends with everyone in the building. No, they are not here to actually hurt each other, but injuries happen regardless. One rough practice does not equal the end of the world, and just because players are hurt does not mean it involves the level of practice done by literally every other team in the NFL. Sometimes, it just happens. With that, here are your links to the Jets this Tuesday.
