Backup offensive lineman Brent Qvale suffered what appeared to be a serious injury on Sunday at Jets training camp. He was carted off the field.

Tough to see at any point.
After practice head coach Adam Gase expressed pessimism about the injury.
Brent Qvale has a right knee injury and Adam Gase said it doesn’t look good. Qvale is scheduled for an MRI. #Jets

Qvale was slated as the likely primary backup at both tackle spots. If the injury is as serious as it sounds, third round pick Chuma Edoga could end up filling that role.
From a purely on field perspective I’m not sure this will have a major impact on the 2019 Jets season. Qvale’s level of play has never been high. The Jets likely could sign a free agent off the street capable of providing a comparable performance. From a human perspective it’s terrible to hear of something like this. Hopefully this injury is not actually as bad as it appears right now.
Qvale is surprisingly one of the longest tenured members of the Jets having first signed with the team in 2014.
