On the day before their first training camp practice, the Jets made a series of roster moves.

The team re-signed tight end Temuchin Hodges.

Temuchin used to go by the name Bucky. You might remember he had a brief stint with the Jets last year between April and July.

A Virginia Tech product, Hodges performed well at the Combine in 2017. He still fell to the sixth round where he was picked by Minnesota. He also has stints with the Panthers and the Steelers.

The Jets need some tight end depth, but Hodges figures to be competing more for a practice squad spot. He didn’t make the Jets roster a year ago. Four teams have cut him in two years. Expectations should be low.

In other news the Jets placed two more players on the Non Football Injury list including slot corner Brian Poole.

The Jets are expecting Poole to play a major role on the defense, but this designation doesn’t necessarily mean he will miss much time. We will have to wait and see.

The team also waived running back DeAngelo Henderson yesterday.
