New York Jets Flight Connections 7/24/19

Bringing your daily links to the NFL’s New York Jets

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. For those who don’t know already, former Jets QB Mark Sanchez has retired and already landed a gig as a broadcaster for ESPN on one of their NCAAF shows. Instantly people were trying to make little quips regarding the ‘buttfumble’ (I will DIE on the hill that states it was not his fault, and completely blown out of proportion) but it honestly just made them look like hacks. In other news, Jets’ OLB Brandon Copeland has apparently saved over 90% of his NFL earnings as well as teaching a finance class. I have to say, I’m very impressed. Considering how many players end up going broke once they’re done playing, it’s good to see that the money doesn’t always get to a person’s head. Kudos, Mr. Copeland.

Quinnen Williams still hasn’t been signed, and there’s no clear end in sight as of right now. I personally wasn’t as high on Williams as some people, and him holding out for $100,000 seems ridiculously petty and adds scuff to my already skewed vision on him. To be fair, the Jets don’t look great here either—but that’s never new. With that, here are your links to the team this Wednesday.
