New York Jets Flight Connections 7/15/19

Good morning, Jet fans! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. As we found out over the weekend Chris Herndon has been suspended for 4 games. Given that the beginning of the season is a rough stretch for the team, this suspension hurts badly. There’s now speculation as well that GM Joe Douglas will be looking to trade for a TE, but I don’t think that’s the right move. Wasting draft capital on what will most likely be a mediocre acquisition wouldn’t be wise, and given some of the contracts the team has given out, young talented players will be needed in the future. What the suspension does mean however is that the offensive players will need to pick up the slack, and HC Adam Gase and company will need to get more creative utilizing the players that they have. I don’t think it’s an easy task, but it’s not impossible at all. In other news, Avery Williamson will be sliding over to the weak side, but I guess that’s a given considering the signing of C.J. Mosley. Though the team has many question marks going into this season, I honestly believe the defense will be a force. Hopefully my thoughts are turned into action by the team.
