On Jachai Polite:

Polite

I didn’t vote, let the kid play. Off field issues – none that are based on factual comments. None by the university of Florida. None by former teammates. On field issues – None by the university of Florida , None by former teammates. Any did that misses a sack and runs full speed 20 yards on the ball carrier doesn’t have on field problems. That’s called motor and drive. Not watching game film.,well this is a mistake but this is a huge Red Flag on the coaching staff of Florida as well . Overall a young man who is growing up and made a dumb decision. Polite’s biggest problem is he doesn’t think before he speaks. I know a lot of guys his age that don’t. Manufactured crap by old men NFL guys who didn’t like his personality or the fact that his injury didn’t jive with their timing. I see a guy with a 1st rd grade that posses off some old men and they spited him for it. Peace!

On the recent news surrounding Jordan Jenkins:

Honestly quite refreshing to read all these articles on Jordan Jenkins

I really didn’t notice him too much last year. But if the coaches are hype about him and the media there must be something there. I hope Q. Willams transforms this defense. If other teams are worried about the middle they’ll give the outside edge a bit more help to get the job done. Anybody else scared that Robert’s has our games circled on his schedule? I bet he runs at least one back on us…. smh

On how the Jets should perform this year:

I think we’re gonna have a fun little team this year.

I think we will be in the playoff hunt. Some things have to break right for sure. But there’s a lot reasons to be optimistic that they will. Sam looks legit. WRs are solid across the board, and good enough to allow a bourgeoning QB to show what he’s got. RB is elite. Defense looks powerful up the middle. And being strong there lets you hide a lot of deficiencies. We have a legit talent at edge for the first time in years. We’re poised to do some damage. Can’t wait see it all unfold.

On the running back situation behind Bell:

McGuire and Powell have somewhat redundant skill sets. I get the logic that McGuire is younger therefore McGuire over Powell but Powell is also a career Jet who is highly respected and wasn’t signed to be a camp body. Also Powell has survived how many coaching/gm regimes and McGuire is a holdover of Mac’s. All this considered, Cannon played a big role in the improvement of special teams and the coach who wanted Cannon drafted, Mr. Boyer, is still our special teams coach.

On which stats the Jets need to improve on the offense:

All of them?

-Jeremy J. Jackson

On what the Jets need to do to improve the Offense:

We have a lot riding on Bell and the expected improvement from Sam

But the OL has to be better as well. I’m slightly optimistic that Harrison will solid and OK and rest of line will be as well. A more creative game plan and more weapons should keep the opposing D on its heels and help the OL

On Robby Anderson’s potential:

I am one of the guys who’s been huge on the kid since rookie camp but making it to the overall top WR in the NFL might be a bit to lofty of a goal to reach realistically. Don’t get me wrong he has a hell of a lot of talent and can easily be a damn good receiver in the league but in general what with his playing weight limiting his ability to an extent it makes it a bit harder to dominate games consistently like you’d expect out of a top WR.

On whether or not the Jets will make the playoffs this year:

Highly unlikely the Jets make the playoffs in 2019. Maccagnan did too much damage.

Give JD 2020 and maybe with a good draft, and bringing in a competent Center, and cutting Trumaine Johnson, the team can approach the playoffs. I think it takes a couple more years.
