Good morning, Jet fans! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. Trumaine Johnson hopes to have a ‘bounce back’ type of year, and speaking for everyone, let’s hope he does. Although somehow people can miscontrue numbers to make it seem like he played well last year, the reality is that he was the worst cornerback on the field more times than not. If this was a 3rd stringer obviously it wouldn’t have mattered, but he was the CB1 and received an enormous contract. Expectations haven’t been met yet, but let’s hope that changes this upcoming season. Outside of that, there are some other interesting takes on the team, including the Jets being featured as one of the NFL’s most ‘combustible’ rosters. I’m honestly not sure how to react to that hot take, seeing as how the team’s been fairly bad for the majority of this decade. It’s hard to be ‘combustible’ when the team is hardly competitive. Expectations are indeed unnecessarily high given two big signings, but everyone should really pump the brakes until we see how these younger guys develop. With that, here are your links to the team today.
