Jets podcast: Five questions for 2019

NFL: Combine Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets enter the middle of their offseason minicamp today. The three day event is the only time the entire team gets together during the offseason. The remainder of the offseason program is voluntary. The next time the Jets will be on the field will be for training camp to prepare for the season.

While this minicamp draws a lot of attention, it will not have a major effect on the 2019 season for the Jets. It is merely a series of offseason practices.

On today’s podcast we discuss some things that actually will impact the Jets in 2019. Our normal offseason top five show is on Wednesday instead of Tuesday this week. Today we will discuss how the growth of late round Draft picks, Leonard Williams’ ability to take the next step, Adam Gase’s potential growth as a coach, Le’Veon Bell’s return to the NFL, and the degree to which Sam Darnold improves will impact the Jets in both the short and long runs.
