New York Jets Flight Connections 6/18/19

Bringing your daily links to the NFL’s New York Jets

Good morning, Jet fans! I hope you all are having a great start to the day. Sam Darnold will now need a new mentor as Josh McCown has retired after 17 seasons playing in the NFL. He has a great piece written in the Tribune that is in today’s FC, and I wish him nothing but the best as he moves into an analyst role over at ESPN.

I’m a little disappointed that less than 40% knew who number 88 was on the team, but to be fair he is a fairly new acquisition. That player to be named would be Ty Montgomery, and the reason for the question was because it befuddled nearly everybody who saw him on the Jets facebook post, which I personally found hilarious. It also goes to show how frequently players are switching teams in today’s NFL. Outside of the QB, nearly every player is expendable regardless of talent level. Is it a trend that continues? Who knows? But what I do know is that these are your links for the Jets on this Tuesday morning.
