New York Jets Flight Connections 6/16/19

Good morning, GGN, and happy Father’s Day! Here’s a puzzler for you: since Father’s Day is now marketed in many ads as “Dads and Grads”, why isn’t Mother’s Day marketed as “Moms and Proms”?

Father’s Day marks the beginning of the doldrums in the NFL, with little happening between now and training camp. Hopefully we will soon get the news Quinnen Williams and Chuma Edoga have signed. Outside of those soon to be signings, we’re looking at the occasional back of the roster pickup, perhaps the possibility of a trade or two, and some other third thing. School’s out for the summer, and so is the NFL.

On a personal note for Father’s Day, my son earned his black belt in karate this weekend. We have now reached that dreaded milestone where the son can kick the father’s butt. I’m trying to remember why I thought it was a great idea to sign him up for karate lessons when he wasn’t yet in kindergarten. I must have been suffering from some form of temporary insanity.
