The Jets continue tinkering with the bottom of the roster. The team announced the signing of wide receiver Deonte Thompson. Fellow wide receiver Xavier Ubosi was waived to clear a roster spot for him.

Thompson is a 30 year old who has precisely two seasons of more than 200 receiving yards. He does have some kickoff return experience, though, so he figures to be part of the camp battle for that job.
Ubosi’s Jets career is now over, and I wouldn’t exactly expect the Ring of Honor to beckon. His tenure with the team lasted one week.
