Alright guys I'm back with another mock draft for the Jets, I may end up doing one on Draft Night Eve but I'm busy with a lot of stuff in my life at the moment so I probably won't have the time to do it. This mock will indeed feature trades and a wildly bold prediction that will completely change the top 5 of this years draft, so lets get into it.

First off Pick 1 is Kyler Murray to the Cardinals, Pick 2 sees the 49ers trade down with Miami Dolphins who go on to select Dwayne Haskins. This causes mass panic by teams like the Broncos, Redskins and Giants. Mike Maccagnan now gets to hold all three teams to ransom as they know one of the three teams will miss out on a first round QB. So who does Mike choose to trade down with.....

Pick 3 is traded to the New York Giants in exchange for the 6th pick, the 17th pick, 37th pick and a 2020 4th round selection. Yes I know this may seem a bit much in terms of what the Giants give up but Mike can ask for as much as he wants given the circumstances.

Pick 6: Josh Allen, EDGE, Kentucky. The dynamic playmaker is the edge rusher the Jets have been asking for since Abraham left. Allen will immediately start and fill a huge void in the defense. Would not surprise me to see Allen have 10 sacks in his rookie season.

Pick 17: Garrett Bradbury, OC, NC State. Another big time hole filled in this team as the Jets find another franchise center. Its a bit high as to where Bradbury should be drafted but he fills a massive need for this Jets organisation.

Pick 37: Rock Ya-SIn, CB, Temple. This guy has not only some of the best coverage skills in this draft, but also one of the best names. All jokes aside though, Ya-Sin is a physical corner who doesn't surrender much on his side of the field. Will compete with Roberts for the CB2 role early on in his career.

Pick 68: Mitch Hyatt, OT, Clemson. Hyatt is a strong tackle with great length. Impressed in his senior season and will be able sit for a season behind Shell and Beachum then eventually start in season 2020.

Pick 93: Andy Isabella, WR, UMass. Isabella is a shift guy who has blazing speed and excellent route running skills. He is a weapon in the return game as well. Despite signing Crowder, the Jets draft Isabella for his speed and ability to create seperation for Darnold in the short passing game, an area which Darnold struggled greatly in his rookie season.

Pick 105: Greg Gaines, DT, Washington. Gaines doesn't have the typical size of a DT, but his ability to plug holes and close off running lanes will allow other defenders to get to the ballcarrier with ease. Gaines will be able to learn behind McLendon who is one of the best run stoppers in the game.

Pick 195: Tommy Sweeney, TE, Boston College. Sweeney is a great TE who can impact the run and passing game heavily. Developed himself into a dependable blocker in his final year with the Eagles. Sweeney should be able to fill the TE2 role and give Sam Darnold a reliable target.

Pick 217: Tyler Clark, DL, Georgia. Clark will be a depth pick, able to provide depth to a thin interior D-line. Clark was relatively productive during his time with Georgia and showed an ability to pressure the QB despite low sack numbers.

UDFA's: I'm selecting three undrafted guys who I could see the Jets target and they are

  • Trace McSorley, QB, Penn State. A guy who could compete for QB3 role, but mainly a camp arm and reliable practice squad player.
  • Dakota Allen, LB, Texas Tech. The former Last Chance U star definitely made the most of his second chance with the Red Raiders and could easily push Neville Hewitt for playing time.
  • David Sills V, WR, WVU. Sills had a disappointing combine where he didn't seperate himself from the mid to late round prospects. Sills has a fantastic high-point ability and could easily develop into the fourth receiver for the Jets offense. Would mainly be used on the outside. His lack of playing time as a WR also puts him as a UDFA
