The New York Jets have selected defensive tackle Quinnen Williams out of the University of Alabama with the third overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft.

Quinnen Williams is a 21 year old, 6’ 3”, 300 pound defensive tackle who started just one year at Alabama.

Many believe Quinnen Williams is the best overall prospect in the 2019 NFL draft. After being a rotational guy at Alabama in 2017, Williams dominated in 2018, racking up 19.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He has a great speed and lateral quickness for a man his size, and he put up a 4.83 second 40 time at the NFL combine while weighing in at over 300 pounds.

NFL.com says Williams’

instincts, quickness and athleticism are projectable play traits that should allow for continued production against both the run and pass on the next level. Williams is an instant starter with Pro Bowl potential.

You can check out our own Superhuman’s evaluation of Williams, published in mid November, here.
