We continue to move closer to the start of the 2019 NFL Draft. We are now just over three weeks away from the event kicking off. The Jets currently own the third overall pick, although a trade down to acquire more selections is not out of the question.
On today’s podcast I continue my series of general thoughts about Draft prospects and the positions they play. Today my main focus is on conversion prospects. Every year I hear people criticize the idea of changing the position of a prospect. Are these criticisms fair?
My answer is...it depends. Sometimes asking a prospect to change positions is a major reach. Other times it really isn’t asking a prospect to do things very differently from how he played in college. And sometimes position labels are simply misnomers because of the differences in defensive systems.
