Over the course of the 2018 season, we asked fans each week to answer questions about the state of their team. It was through an SB Nation initiative called FanPulse. (Jets fans, sign up HERE to receive our FanPulse surveys)
We came back to them after free agency to see how they are feeling.
100% of Jets fans asked said the team has improved in free agency. It would have been some feat to not improve starting with a barren roster and the second biggest allotment of cap space. Additions like Le’Veon Bell, C.J. Mosley, and Jamison Crowder certainly add a degree of talent to the roster.
Confidence in the team’s overall direction has doubled from Week 17. Back then only 34% of fans polled expressed confidence in the team. That number is up to 67%. Dreams of Sam Darnold’s improvement, the hiring of a new coach, a free agency spending spree, and the still to come third pick in the Draft are likely causes of this relatively outlook.
Despite the surge since the end of the season, Jets fans aren’t totally confidence compared with the rest of the league. A 67% score still does puts them below the median fan confidence in the NFL and only third highest in the AFC East behind New England and Buffalo.
