New York Jets Flight Connections 3/20/19

Good morning, Gang Green Gangsters! I hope everyone’s having a great start to their day. After Mike Maccagnan made a huge splash landing Daniel Brown and Tom Compton yesterday, he dug into his war chest yet again to re-sign two cornerstones from last year’s roster in OL Brent Qvale and TE Eric Tomlinson. Tomlinson does have some usage as a solid ST blocker, which is interesting because on offense he’s completely useless in that category— not to mention every other aspect. I don’t have any defense for the Qvale re-signing other than the team needs to fill out the roster. Qvale’s contract is extremely cheap, but bad depth is exactly that. For a team that really parroted the Free Agency period it seems that the only real focus was getting Le’Veon Bell and hoping the press from that will cloud everyone’s vision on the rest of the team.
