The Jets have signed tight end Daniel Brown.
#Jets signed former #Bears TE Daniel Brown, according to his agent.

Brown has spent four years in the NFL. Originally an undrafted free agent signed by the Ravens. He caught on with the Bears during the 2016 season, where he has been ever since. Current Jets offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains was in charge of Chicago’s offense during Brown’s time with the team. One would imagine a recommendation from Loggains could have something to do with this move.
With only 35 catches and 317 yards, Brown doesn’t have much of a track record of production in the NFL. I don’t think we should pencil him in as a key contributor just yet. He will likely be competing for a roster spot. If he can flash some promise in the preseason and/or show value on special teams he might be able to snatch a roster spot. I wouldn’t view this as a major move for 2019, though.
