Good morning, Gang Green Nation! I hope everyone’s having a great start to their day, and had yourselves a great weekend while avoiding the hangover from St. Patrick’s Day. The Free Agency period for the Jets went from busy and bustling to quiet and desolate. The team has some huge questions now addressing ILB, as it’s painfully obvious the plan is to move on from Darron Lee. The only problem is that now with Anthony Barr balking at the Jets, the Jets are kind of stuck in a position of what to do. Trading Lee away would be the obvious choice now, but what return would he bring back? Also if traded, that means the team has to find a replacement in FA (there is none) or draft one (good luck). Drafting an ILB at pick 3 would be a horrendous choice in my opinion, though trading back would make this more plausible, but still unlikely. The lack of a 2nd round pick really hurts the Jets in this situation, and it’s going to be very interesting to see what the team does going forward. Both parties know neither wants to be attached to one another now. It also means another failed draft pick by Maccagnan, this time a 1st rounder. It’s not boding too well for him in my eyes. With that said, here are your links to the team this Monday.
