Jets free agency rumors, news, and live updates 3/14

Today is the first full day of the 2019 league year.

The Jets will likely start officially announcing some of their signings soon. The terms of many deals have been agreed to, but the deals need to be officially signed. Aside from rare cases such as Anthony Barr, this is a formality.

We are nearing the second wave of free agency. With many of the big names off the board, teams will start signing smaller scale deals. The Jets have struck one such deal with Steve McLendon. These will not necessarily be high impact moves, but they can fill holes adequately and improve depth. The Jets still have plenty of important holes to fill. This bargain stage of free agency will be critical if the team has plans on being successful in 2019.
