The Jets have lost their second Pro Bowl special teamer of the day. Return man Andre Roberts is going to the Buffalo Bills.
Pro Bowl returner Andre Roberts is signing with the Buffalo Bills per sources. He was selected for both the All-Pro and Pro Bowl teams in recognition of his work as a kick returner last season with the Jets

Roberts averaged 29.4 yards as a kickoff return guy last year and took one back for a touchdown. He also posted a 14.1 average on punt returns and added a touchdown there.
With all of that said, I can’t find a ton of fault in the Jets for letting Roberts go. That production was well above his career averages in both phases. This seems like a clear case of a career year at 30 years old and a prime regression candidate. And with kickoff returns slowly being phased out of the league, it just doesn’t make sense to pay a premium for a return man.
It was a tremendous season for Roberts in green and white that ended in a Pro Bowl. Now he is a division rival.
