Jets podcast: Talking about Bell, Anderson, Barr, Paradis, and Mosley

NFL: AFC Divisional Playoff-Jacksonville at Pittsburgh Steelers Philip G. Pavely-USA TODAY Sports

The second day of the legal tampering period was eventful for the Jets.

After midnight, Adam Schefter broke the story that running back Le’Veon Bell decided to sign with the Jets. Landing the star running back perhaps allowed the Jets to breathe a sigh of relief because it had been a brutal day for the team before that point.

Yes, the Jets did re-sign Henry Anderson, but the rest of Tuesday had not been pretty. Anthony Barr backed out of his deal with the Jets. The linebacker will return to Minnesota instead. The Jets lost out at the center position as Matt Paradis signed in Carolina. When it comes to the premium centers available, the team will leave free agency empty-handed. The Jets also agreed to terms with C.J. Mosley on a monster contract, but that might be a questionable allocation of resources.

We will talk about the highs and lows of Tuesday on today’s podcast.
