In an extremely unshocking development, New England won another Super Bowl. The Patriots beat the Rams last night 13-3 in Super Bowl LIII to win a sixth championship in franchise history.
On today’s podcast we get talking about it out of the way.
This game had a different feel from New England’s other championships over the last two decades. In spite of the game’s competitive nature, this was actually the first time the Patriots won a Super Bowl by more than one score.
Beyond that, New England found a new formula to win. They had to overcome shaky performances by Tom Brady and a normally dominant offense. This time they were able to ride a dominant defensive performance to a win in a big game.
