Good morning, GGN! I hope everyone’s having a great start to their day. It’s the first day of February, and the weather has not been kind to bring us in. However, it is the start of the weekend so that means that the Super Bowl is only a few days away. Hopefully by this time next week we will celebrate a champion that isn’t named the New England Patriots. Manish Mehta’s article on Le’Veon Bell and the Jets’ refusal to ‘break the bank’ for him has gone ‘viral’, so to speak. There’s a couple clippings mentioned below, but after a certain point everything starts to sound the same. Sort of comes with the territory of being a mediocre team with a lot of money to spend, the rumor mill will keep on turning. We’ve had Jamal Adams try to make things more interesting by persuading stars to come join the Jets, but quite frankly I think it’s a tall task to ask of the Safety. For starters, he’s not the one writing the checks, he’s not the one running the team, but he is part of a franchise that has been bottom of the barrel for a long time even despite our AFCC runs with Rex Ryan. With those three factors, it makes it hard for the team to be a top destination for a plethora of players. Honestly though, it only takes one or two seasons to change that around. P.S. Kevin Mawae should be in the NFL HOF. So with that said, here are your links for the Jets this Friday.
