The Jets beat the Dolphins yesterday at MetLife Stadium 22-21 on a last second field goal by Sam Ficken. With the victory, the Jets narrowly avoided an embarrassing sweep at the hands of their AFC East rival.
Despite the victory, the team was officially eliminated as both Tennessee and Pittsburgh won their games in the late afternoon slate. This was a formality as the Jets have realistically been out of the race for a long time. Still the team now turns to Week 15 officially playing out the string.
On today’s podcast we look back at this win. In the big picture, I’m not sure there’s a lot to be excited about in this one. The Jets played a really sloppy game against a sloppier opponent. Sam Darnold struggled a ton in the second half as well. It is probably about as somber as I have felt after a Jets win in some time.
Thanks for listening.
