The Jets defeated the Miami Dolphins 22-21 today at MetLife Stadium. The win was not enough to keep the Jets alive in the Playoff race, though. Victories by the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans officially eliminated the Jets from Playoff contention.

This was more of a formality than anything else. It has felt like the Jets have been playing meaningless football for months.
This marks the ninth consecutive season the Jets will see their season end without a Playoff spot. The last time the Jets made the postseason was Rex Ryan’s 11-5 team in 2010. Only the Cleveland Browns and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had longer postseason droughts.
It has been a wild year for the franchise with a coaching change, a record offseason spending spree, and then a general manager change.
Unfortunately the final result has the Jets not playing meaningful football in the final three weeks of the 2019 season.
