What was the most important single play of yesterday’s Jets victory over Pittsburgh?
There are many weeks where this is a difficult question. I don’t think it is for this game.
Late in the fourth quarter of yesterday’s win the Jets were one defensive stop away from a win holding a six point lead. Devlin Hodges threw a deep pass near the end zone to James Washington. Washington got his hands on the ball, but Jets safety Marcus Maye ripped it away from him. The ball fell to the ground incomplete, and the Jets closed out the win soon after.
That play was the difference between a nice win over a quality opponent and a deflating Week 16 loss. This came after an earlier interception by Maye. It was his day to be the hero for the Jets.
That is my choice. Which play do you think was the most important in the game?
