Jets vs Steelers Second Half Thread

NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers at New York Jets Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The first half of the New York Jets game against the Pittsburgh Steelers is in the books, and the Jets are tied with the Steelers 10 - 10.

The Jets opened the game with a terrific 11 play, 75 yard drive culminating in a beautiful pass by Sam Darnold into tight coverage and a great catch by Robby Anderson for a touchdown and an early 7 - 0 lead.

On the ensuing Steelers drive Tarell Basham picked off an errant Duck Hodges pass and the Jets were rolling in the early going. The Jets couldn’t get anything going on the ensuing drive after Sam Darnold threw what should have been an interception on first down.

The Jets offense bogged down for the rest of the half, although they did manage to score on a field goal. The Steelers offense was completely ineffective under Duck Hodges, spurring a replacement at quarterback for the Steelers after Hodges threw his second interception of the half. The change at quarterback paid dividends, as a previously lifeless Steelers offense suddenly caught fire under new quarterback Mason Rudolph. In the last two minutes of the half Rudolph lead the Steelers to 10 points, aided by a strip sack of Sam Darnold by T.J. Watt.

We go into the second half with the Jets tied with the Steelers at 10 - 10.

Enjoy the second half everybody.
