Podcast: Jets Awards for 2019

We are nearing the end of the 2019 season for the Jets. The players will vote next week on team awards ahead of the season finale against Buffalo.

On today’s podcast I get ahead of them by a week. The season is nearly concluded. With the team out of postseason contention, I don’t think the final two games are likely to move the needle so I hand out my figurative hardware for the season.

Among the categories are the best moment, the best free agent signing, the biggest surprise, the comeback player of the year, standout offensive, defensive, and special teams players, coach of the year, and team MVP.

It has been a difficult season for the Jets. Many players have had performances either inconsistent or disappointing, which makes some of the categories difficult. Still there are things to celebrate in the 2019 season, and I try to do that.
