The Jets lost last night to the Baltimore Ravens 42-21 on Thursday Night Football. The defeat dropped the Jets to 5-9 on the season with two games remaining. This is the fourth straight year the Jets will end the season with a losing record.
On today’s podcast I break down the game. Unlike many of the big defeats this season, I would not call this an embarrassing performance. The shorthanded Jets gave a spirited effort against what might be the best team in the NFL. Ultimately, they lacked the playmakers necessary to get the job done or even make the game close. I think a handful of plays turned this from a potentially interesting game into a comfortable Ravens win. Those plays were mainly about the talent level on the teams. That and a normally stout Jets run defense had a poor game.
Thanks as always for tuning in to the show.
