The first half of the New York Jets game against the Baltimore Ravens is in the books, and the Ravens lead the Jets 21 - 7.
The Jets offense has looked fairly good in this game. Sam Darnold has been solid, Le’Veon Bell has been effective, and Jamison Crowder overcame a terrible drop wide open in the end zone with a tough touchdown catch on the very next play.
Unfortunately for the Jets the defense has not kept pace. The Jets defense has been utterly helpless against the dynamic Ravens offense. The Ravens scored touchdowns on each of their first three possessions, and it seemed all but effortless each time. The Jets have no answer for Lamar Jackson’s running nor his passing.
A last minute drive by the Jets threatened to get the score to within a one touchdown deficit, but a late Darnold interception on a play where Daniel Brown may have run the wrong route ended the Jets’ hopes to make this a close game.
We go into the second half with the Jets trailing the Ravens by 14 points, 21 - 7.
Enjoy the second half everybody.
