Sam Darnold put together (essentially) 2 game winning scoring drives in the 22-21 win against the Dolphins, and the Jets squeaked out a win. Playing without Bell, Adams, Poole, Griffin and many more, Adam Gase and Gregg Williams had a tough task in front of them. Keeping the Fins out of the endzone for 4 quarters gave the Jets just enough wiggle room to work a little late game magic. 2 TD’s, some big plays and a last second field goal was the winning formula.
Through 13 games, Gang Green has surpassed their win total from 2018, and expects to dodge last place in the AFC East. Say what you want, but beating the Dolphins is always a good thing.
On a short week, the Jets play their final primetime game against one of the league’s finest. This Thursday night New York travels to Baltimore to face off against Lamar Jackson, Mark Ingram, a killer offensive line and one heck of a secondary. #2 rush defense vs #1 rush offense. There is a scenario where the Jet play this game well. Let’s hope it comes true.
