Final Score: Bengals 22, Jets 6

NFL: New York Jets at Cincinnati Bengals David Kohl-USA TODAY Sports

On a chilly, windy first day of December in Cincinnati, the New York Jets lost to the Cincinnati Bengals, 22 - 6.

The game started out fairly well for the Jets as they went on a long opening drive and scored a field goal to take a 3 - 0 lead.

The game went downhill from there. After each team went nowhere on their next drives, the Bengals then scored 17 unanswered points, scoring on three straight drives, to take a commanding 17 - 3 lead. The Jets closed out the first half scoring with a field goal drive to bring the score to 17 - 6 at the half.

The Bengals added to their lead in the third quarter with a safety and a field goal to give them a 22 - 6 lead heading into the final quarter. In a game where the Jets offense couldn’t get much going, a 16 point fourth quarter deficit seemed almost insurmountable. In the end it proved to be just that. The Jets couldn’t get anything going on offense in the second half and they went meekly to defeat to the Bengals

With the loss the Jets have their first winning streak of the 2019 season snapped at three games. Their record drops to 4-8 on the year, with a home game against the much improved Miami Dolphins on tap next week.
