Our readers’ and writers’ contributions to this site are a major reason why Gang Green Nation is the best Jets blog in the history of Jets blogs. No contribution, big or small, should go unnoticed. That’s why we’ll highlight some of the best comments and FanPosts on a weekly basis.

Without further ado, I bring to you, Gang Green Nation’s Highlight Reel for the past week:

Top Comments:

On the Johnson’s as owners:

I think the Johnson’s are patient owners overall. And I know the Jets have never fired a HC midSeason. It would take pretty extreme circumstances for Gase to be fired. And we just reached that. Fire Him Now.

On comparing Gase to Rex:

Just remember

How hard Rex had the Bills play week 17 vs the Jets when we were trying to make the playoffs and had a decent team. Gase couldn’t inspire his team against the team that just fired him. This coach is a disaster. He doesn’t inspire he doesn’t lead he doesn’t get the most or best out of his players. Fire him and do us a favor trade Jamal Adams this guy is telling us how great he is? Make a tackle. Daryl Roberts you are hot garbage how dare you celebrate when a WR drops a pass that you were 10 feet behind. The announcers said it best. The Jets are an epic disaster since inception.

On the Jets losing to the Dolphins:

We now know that the Dolphins aren’t as good at tanking as the Jets are at losing.

On chances of the Jets firing Gase after the Giants game:

I didn’t think there was much of a chance Gase was getting fired yesterday

I think there’s a possibility this weekend is it for him, though. The Johnsons hate being embarrassed by the Giants. If the stadium is like 85% blue for a Jets home game, and the Giants blow them out it might be enough to expedite the change.

On the Jamison Crowder signing:

Crowder

I got to say has been a nice addition to this team when getting targets and is making catches. Think he’ll be a nice piece to have on this team as well just as long as you add some more talent around him.

On takeaways from the Jets/Dolphins game:

Upon Further Review

Out of, probably, sheer masochism, I watched the tape of the Miami game today. For the record:

1) Officiating was truly, comically bad. Non-penalty penalties, that absurd review on the Griffin touchdown, on an on. Not that it changes anything about our situation, but that officiating team doesn’t belong on an NFL field. 2) The penalties, legit and illegal, seemed frequently to annul positive plays and positive momentum. 3) This is a coaching staff that ran the ball on first and goal from the two… and then on second and goal from the two… with Bell in the backfield, against Miami. Adam Gase also does not belong on an NFL football field. 4) Focus on the O-Line and you see how terrifyingly bad they really are. None of them belong on an NFL football field. 5) 14 was on his way to a strong game, but he got little help and a lot of hindrance, as usual. He does belong.

On the new Jets players on IR:

Has more wasted cap space ever gone on the IR at one time than Trumaine and Bellamy?
