Jets tackle Chuma Edoga left Sunday’s game with an apparent lower body injury. Manish Mehta reports the injury is a sprained MCL.
Sources: Jets starting tackle Chuma Edoga will miss time with a Grade 2 MCL sprain.

With only five weeks remaining in the 2019 season, one might wonder whether this will end Edoga’s rookie campaign.
As one might expect from a third round rookie, Edoga’s play has been inconsistent. It probably hasn’t helped that Kelvin Beachum’s injuries have forced him to shuffle between the right and left tackle spots. The other constant offensive line changes probably haven’t helped either.
While Edoga replaced Brandon Shell in the starting lineup, my personal view is the Jets’ best short run offensive line combination has Beachum and Shell at tackle. In the long run, Edoga figures to be an important player for the team. Both Beachum and Shell are free agents after the season, and it stands to reason the Jets want Edoga to fill one of their two starting tackle roles next season.
