Without further ado, I bring to you, Gang Green Nation’s Highlight Reel for the past week:
victormonfrey details things to be thankful for about the Jets
On Winters yelling at Darnold:
Teammates have spats, sure. But when a crappy player gets in the face of someone else, it’s ridiculous.
On the notion that the Jets could replace Darnold:
The narrative around Sam Darnold is baffling
Baker Mayfield has OBJ, Landry, Chubb, a decent o line, a good defense, and the coach he wanted. But its universally concluded that Baker will be fine and the coach is the reason he sucks.Sam Darnold has been bad. He has basically been put on a team that resembles the little Giants, coached by coach klein, and has Kramer as an owner. But we write articles about replacing him? For real? You waste a number 1 pick on Tua, and throw him in the same circumstance and the only thing different is we may not beat dallas. Its laughable. Build a damn team through the draft. Give Darnold next year. Bring in a higher end back up. And fire Gase
On Adam Gase:
If the Jets were merely losing, I would have some sympathy for the “be patient” angle, but they aren’t. This is historically bad. The 1996 team had a more explosive offense than this one. No team in NFL history has had a worse offensive line. Last year with largely the same linemen, the Jets line was not this bad. Gase has a top 5 running back and has done nothing to use him properly. The young QB he was brought here to improve is playing worse. Top players are having public spats with the team. The offensive line is yelling at Darnold in games. Adam Gase’s time with the Jets is a thorough, top to bottom, historically unprecedented, colossal failure. There is no reason to be patient.
On Brian Schottenheimer:
Brian Schottenheimer is having his Gase with Peyton Manning moment.
On Jamal Adams:
There is only two circumstances where you trade Jamal
If he becomes too big of a distraction. He was close, but not sure we really got to that point. Or a team just gives up an ungodly amount of capital you cant refuse. 2 firsts and a 2nd or something similar to that.Jamal had one of the best defensive games I’ve ever seen. If he can make similar play, on a consistent level, then we really should not let him leave the building
There is only one circumstance that trading Jamal is worth it:
On the 49ers defensive coordinator:
Make Robert Saleh the next New York Jets Head Coach. My god dude has passion rivaled by none and his defense would run through a brick wall for him. Pair him with a good OC and get things rolling in the right direction.
Jet fans feelings on Adams....
The Jamal play on Daniel Jones...
On Baker Mayfield:
So there you have it, Gang Green Nation’s Highlight Reel. Want to be featured next week? Just keep doing what you do, and more importantly, keep being who you are—after all, YOU’RE what makes Gang Green Nation so great!
Which QB is having the "better" year?: Baker Mayfield or Sam Darnold?
