The Jets won on Sunday, but their record is only 2-7 in 2019. The team is very unlikely to go on a Playoff run. For the final two months of the season, we will be in evaluation mode.
At this point of a lost year, the focus generally turns to young players. This is the time of year to get inexperienced guys some game reps. Given how many injuries the Jets have, the team doesn’t have much say in the matter. A lot of young guys are being pressed into starting duty.
On today’s podcast I name five players I will be watching for the rest of the season. These are players with varying degrees of upside. Their circumstances are all different, and so should the expectations that follow them. I will offer what I think they will need to do in order to be considered successful for the rest of the year.
