The Jets registered a rare win on Sunday, which means we get to hand out a rare game ball on Monday.
As always, we attempt to avoid giving the game ball to the quarterback or repeat winners whenever possible.
There are numerous worthy candidates for the distinction this week, but I think none of more worthy than Jamal Adams. The last few weeks have been tumultuous for the star safety. He certainly has played a hand in creating some of the tumult with his poor way he handled trade rumors.
Adams certainly came to play on Sunday, though. He registered a pair of strip sacks. On one of them, he took the ball right out of Daniel Jones’ hands and ran it into the end zone for a touchdown. This was part of a nine tackle day for the All Pro safety.
Jamal’s season has been up and down. Sunday was his best performance. For that reason, he gets my game ball.
Who gets yours?
