Thursday Night Football, Week 5. Tonight the Los Angeles Rams travel north to take on the Seattle Seahawks in a NFC West showdown.

The Rams took their first loss of the 2019 season last week as their defense collapsed in a surprising 55 - 40 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jared Goff threw for 517 yards in the loss, the third most in a loss in the history of the NFL.

The Seahawks’ Russell Wilson has not thrown an interception yet this season. He and Patrick Mahomes are the only two quarterbacks in the NFL to have thrown for more than 1000 yards without being intercepted.

The Seahawks offense has scored a touchdown on 79 percent of their trips to the red zone this season, tops in the NFL. The Rams defense has allowed only nine red-zone touchdowns in 2019, third best in the NFL.

The Rams have had the better of this rivalry recently, having won three straight games versus the Seahawks and six of the last eight. Both games between these two teams last year were decided by less than a touchdown. Whichever team loses tonight’s game will fall two games back in the loss column behind the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West, making this a crucial early season clash in the NFC West division race.

It’s the Rams and the Seahawks on Thursday Night Football.

Enjoy the game everybody.
