It’s week eight of the 2019 NFL season and the New York Jets are on the road in Jacksonville, Florida to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jets come into this game hurting, with almost no linebackers left on the healthy side of the ledger. They have called up James Burgess from the practice squad, who spent training camp with the team, to help fill the void, but this is not an ideal way to face Leonard Fournette. In addition, tight end Chris Herndon remains out, for the third week in a row following a four game suspension, with a hamstring that just won’t heal.
The Jets young quarterback looks to rebound from a nightmare game against the Patriots last week, but a very good Jacksonville defensive line matched up against an atrocious Jets offensive line will likely do Darnold no favors today. The Jets may look to lean heavily on Le’Veon Bell against a suspect Jaguars run defense to take some of the pressure off Darnold.
It’s the Jets and the Jaguars away down south in Florida. Please leave your comments in the section cleverly marked “comments” below. Enjoy the game everybody.
