On Sam Darnold against the Cowboys:

It is so good to watch good quarterback play

For years we’ve watched Rogers and Brees take average at best teams and make them regular contenders. Today Darnold showed he can do that for us. The future is bright. And if ever we get a good team around him, the future could be amazing. Thrilled.

On Adam Gase against the Cowboys:

He was okay. He didn’t get conservative and he threw in a couple wrinkles, but I think this makes the losses look worse for Gase. The offense should do better with Darnold, but the whole team was playing better. The line blocked better, the defense looked like they had more energy, etc. So where was the leader of this team that whole time? Answer: the real leader is Darnold, not the supposed head coach. Just like the Colts when Peyton Manning went down.

On Adam Gase against the Patriots:

Gase

True. The Jets have a talent-deficiency problem, but that also have a terrible head coach problem. This became starkly evident to me when Gase was talking to (mic’d up) Darnold on the sideline when they were in Pats territory late in the first half. Gase took Darnold aside and basically said…nothing useful. He said “get the ball in the endzone” and gave him a 3 second canned pep talk. No actual coaching. No “we are gonna run x and you need to look for y and make sure you do z…” Nope. Gase shows not a shred of ability to break down what’s actually happening on the field and respond. He does the same crap every game. He may be able to draw up plays, but he does not understand how to actually coach a GAME. He is hurting Darnold and anyone else with a shred if talent on this team. He needs to go like yesterday.

On Jamal Adams against the Cowboys:

Jamal Adams

Romo and Nantz raved about Adams all game (as most broadcasters and analysts do). The only people in the world that have negative things to say about Jamal Adams, are a handful of people on GGN lol.

On Marcus Maye against the Cowboys:

Maye played very well. Feel like his performance has been underrated by a lot of people. Glad he’s mentioned here

On Sam Darnold’s potential after the Cowboys game:

Since I’m on a jets high, and never afraid to throw out bold statements

Sam Darnold will become Peyton Manning pre snap and Andrew Luck post snap. Buckle up your seat belts, good things are ahead for the jets

-GenoTime7

On Adams’ goalline blitz against the Cowboys:

IMPACT PLAYER

Adams was a beast. No way Mahomes makes that kind of play

-yowizeguy

On the notion that Quinnen Williams is too small to play every down NT in the NFL:

Am I to understand that the Jets used the third overall pick on a NT that can’t play NT in the NFL?

-NJHockey8

On the Jets’ ineptitude:

Fun facts: the Jets are averaging the fewest yards per game in the NFL, worse even than the Miami Tanks. If we take out all the Luke Falk games and just include the Darnold games, the Jets … are averaging the fewest yards per game in the NFL, worse even than the Miami Tanks.

On Sam Darnold and Adam Gase:

Sam was about as bad as it gets last night

But I think people lose sight of the fact that this kid is STILL 22 YEARS OLD with no offensive lineman and an incompetent coaching staff. Anyone else remember what they were like when they were 22? He’s still a kid. If he’s still doing this next year then yeah we might have a problem. But this Patriots D made a 2x super bowl champ in Roethlisberger look absolutely terrible and they have an insanely more talented team than us. The thing that pisses me off is that Gase seems to refuse to bring more guys in to block, chip rushers, nothing. The Pats basically pinned their ears back, played cover zero, and Gase just sat there and watched. It’s completely inexcusable.

One the overreaction of Jets fans:

I’m glad GGN hasn’t let one game taint their perspective on Sam Darnold

It’s one game, yeah it was a bad game. It was the worst game at any level in Sam’s career. It was also BB with 11 days to prepare against a team that hasn’t best him in 4 years. We were without out starting LT and TE. The offensive line seemed completely disinterested in blocking Recievers were dropping passes that hit them in the hands But worst of all Gase was looking for the big play all night instead of setting Sam up with easy throws to build confidence and beat a Pats defense hell bent on bring pressure. Like good God, his team runs 15 screens a game every other week this year. Is week trough we got one on a first down, and it went to Berrios. Yeah, Sam was seeing ghosts and he had happy feet. So would you if every time you snapped the ball you had a guy in you lap within a second. It’s something that happens to all young QBs in that scenario. It’s why BB is unbeaten against 1st and 2nd year QBs during his tenure in New England. Sam isn’t perfect. He masked a lot of issues this team had against a skidding Dallas team. The Pats are the best team in football and know how to make life a living hell for young QBs when everything else is going perfectly. That wasn’t the case in this game. Absolutely nobody helped Sam out last night, not a single player. So sorry if I’m not willing to declare Sam awful because of one game. One game after he put together a 6 game stretch where he looked like one of the best QBs in football. This is a young QB on a bad team with bad coaching. He willed us to win against a team that’s headed to the playoffs last week. He had the worst game of his career against a team that’s likely headed to the Super Bowl. This isn’t the end of the world.
