Jets vs Cowboys Second Half Thread

NFL: Preseason-New York Jets at Atlanta Falcons Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The first half of the New York Jets game against the Dallas Cowboys is in the books, and the Jets lead the Cowboys 21 - 6.

On offense the Jets went on a long touchdown drive on their second possession of the game to take an early 7 - 0 lead, their first lead since the first game of the season. The Jets offense then bogged down until late in the half, when Sam Darnold connected on a 92 yard bomb to Robby Anderson. The Jets followed that up by stopping the Cowboys, then marching right down the field with another touchdown drive to go up 21 - 3.

On defense the Jets harried Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott all half, continually bringing pressure and knocking Prescott down. The Jets also managed to contain the potent Dallas rushing attack. A key red zone stand late in the half forced the Cowboys to turn the ball over on downs, leading directly to the Jets 92 yard strike to Anderson.

This half the Jets looked like the team Jets fans hoped they’d be this year before a disastrous 0 - 4 start.

We go into the second half with the Jets leading by 15 points.

Enjoy the second half everyone.
