Jets vs Cowboys Game Thread

NFL: New York Jets at Dallas Cowboys Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

It’s week six of the 2019 NFL season and the New York Jets are home in East Rutherford, New Jersey to take on the Dallas Cowboys.

The Jets are getting a few of their wounded back today as they slowly begin to heal. Most notable of course is Sam Darnold, gone the last three games taking care of a case of mononucleosis. Darnold should provide substantial instant improvement at the game’s most important position for the Jets. Also expected to return to the Jets lineup this week are the team’s two starting outside linebackers, Jordan Jenkins and Brandon Copeland. These two should give the defense a boost against a potent Cowboys offense. Unfortunately, a few key players remained sidelined for the Jets, including star linebacker C.J. Mosley, defensive end Henry Anderson, kick returner Trenton Cannon and tight end Chris Herndon.

The Cowboys present a difficult challenge for the Jets. Quarterback Dak Prescott is having perhaps the best year of his career, running back Ezekiel Elliott remains one of the best backs in the NFL, the Cowboys defense has racked up 12 sacks and 30 quarterback hits in five games, and the receiving duo of Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup is among the NFL’s best.

It’s the Jets and the Cowboys in late afternoon action. Leave your comments in the section cleverly marked “comments” below. Enjoy the game everybody.
