The Associated Press announced its All Pro teams today. Two Jets were honored. Andre Roberts was named First Team All Pro kick returner, while Jamal Adams was Second Team All Pro at safety.

Making an AP All Pro team is arguably the most prestigous honor in the sport. It is a greater honor than the Pro Bowl since they are choosing the very best at each position instead of building a roster.

These honors are well-deserved. Roberts was second in the league among qualifiers with a 29.4 yard average on kickoff returns. He also returned one kickoff for a touchdown. Roberts also tied for the league lead in punt return average, but Tarik Cohen was named First Team All Pro punt returner.

Adams had a stellar second season, totaling 115 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and an interception. His teammates voted him as Jets MVP last week as he took his place among the game’s elite safeties.
