The Jets have a new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. It is Dowell Loggains. Loggains has served as a coordinator with three other teams before coming to New York and is a confidant of Adam Gase. That’s the good news. The bad news is that his track record leaves something to be desired.
Today is podcast mailbag day, and given the circumstances most of the questions were about the hiring of Loggains. Thanks to everybody who sent in questions for the show.
We will look at the impact Loggains will have on Sam Darnold’s development, whether it was even possible for the Jets to make a stronger hire with Adam Gase taking such an active role in the offense, whether Gase would fire Loggains if Darnold doesn’t show growth, whether Quinnen Williams is a better prospect now than Leonard Williams was four years ago, whether the Jets should be willing to trade down with the Giants if it means helping the crosstown rival pick a quarterback, how hot Mike Maccagnan’s seat is, and what the Jets should do if the top pass rushers are gone when their Draft pick comes.
Thanks for listening.
