Former Dolphins head coach Adam Gase is interviewing for the Jets’ head coaching job according to Brian Costello.
Former Dolphins coach Adam Gase is scheduled to interview with the team on Friday, according to a source.
Gase was fired by Miami after going 23-25 in three years. He led the team to a Playoff berth in his first season.
I think Gase is a guy worth interviewing. If nothing else, I could see some value in getting the perspective of how a division rival viewed the Jets.
But you’d have a lot of convincing to do if you were trying to sell me on hiring Gase. In addition to his mediocre results, Gase developed a reputation for alienating players. He also had the not so genius idea of luring Jay Cutler out of retirement to play with the Dolphins last year after Ryan Tannehill got hurt.
Gase is also a candidate for the Arizona job.
