Jets mailbag: Could the team change special teams coaches during the season?

NFL: New York Jets at Arizona Cardinals Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The long wait is over. The 2018 NFL season kicks off tonight as the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles take on the Atlanta Falcons. The wait for Jets football will go on for a few more days, however. Most fans get to see their team on Sunday, but Jets fans have to wait until Monday. To help pass the time, please enjoy this Thursday mailbag podcast.

On today’s show we show the optimism of the new season by looking at questions that deal with the possibility Todd Bowles and Mike Maccagnan are fired after a disappointing season. We also discuss whether the special teams coach needs to be changed, the impact of the new rule on high hits, how realistic it is to hope the Jets can acquire DeMarcus Lawrence from Dallas, and which Jets jerseys I have owned in the past.

Thanks as always for your support and for listening to the show.
