Crazy 2025/2026 Jets/NFL idea.

This does involve the Jets for the most part. I will actually say that if you do not like talking about relocation, rebranding, altering the NFL at all, or all the above then leave this fanpost now.

Are those people gone?

Good.

Firstly I want to thank the (very) few that have probably stayed here for this long with no content actually being represented yet. I will get to that in a minute since I wanted to thank you first.

In 2010 the New Meadhowlands Stadium opened and in 2011 became the MetLife Stadium because the company bought the naming rights.

Well in 2025 (and every 5 years after) one of the teams will have the opportunity to leave the stadium for their own venue. At this point in the future the Jets will have Sam Darnold throwing TDs for 7 years and the Giants probably won't be as bad as they are now and starting a revival to their late 90s and early 2000s "power house". My idea is for the Jets to use the out clause at this time and relocate to their own city and I'm going to select a LARGE TV audience area that has no NFL team at this time, Orlando. While they could build their own stadium or renovate the 4 year old renovated Camping World Stadium they would probably be a blessing down here in Central Florida. Right now Camping World Stadium can hold just over 60,000 people without the temporary bleachers in place. With the temporary ones the stadium can house just over 65,000. Now this doesn't seem like a lot when you consider that MetLife can house 17,000 more.

Now here comes the fun part, and it doesn't HAVE to happen, the Jets motif is getting stale at this point and the team needs a new team name and colors to go with their new home here in the heart of Florida. We could borrow the team name from the nearby University, the Knights. What the heck, let us travel almost 2 hours up the turnpike here and steal a more reptilian name...also it would let us keep the green color. Let's say the New York Jets become the Orlando Caimanes, or in English Orlando Alligators. This should also appeal to the mass hispanic culture in Florida as well.

So we have a new location and a new team name. What about the jersey, logo, and colors? Well I'm not an artist so I can't really get you an actual image of the jersey I'm thinking of in my mind (perhaps someone reading this would care to be the artist to visually represent my musings I will write shortly). All links will open a new window.

Colors:Dark Hunter Green (hex code: #203823 RGB: 32,56,35, Salamander Orange (hex code: #F05E23, RGB: 240,90,35), and Light Slate Gray (hex code: #778899, RGB: 119,136,153)

Styling: Dark Hunter Green is the base color still. There will be some texture similar to that of scales transposes on the jersey The side panels of the jersey is the Salamander Orange, similar to the Bronco's jersey but does not go on to the front of the jersey to keep the entire jersey that green color (mostly). The pants have the same style as the jersey with the orange stripe on the side but mostly green. The letters and numbers will be the Gray color.
Logo, preferably not as cartoonie (if anyone wants to take a stab at this as well)

With the newly made Orlando Caimanes the divisions are a bit more wonky. So I am going to stream line them for easier travel in the division. I took away the East title mostly because the teams were either spread between the coast and Mississippi River or just worked better as they were in the Central time zone.
